Mission Planter Stick With It You Can Do It!

Listen to “Mission Planters Focus On The Joy” on Spreaker.

Are You A Mission Planter Ready To Call It Quits?

Being a mission planter is not easy. Every mission planter feels called to go out into the world as the Apostles and many disciples over the life of the Church have done. However, most mission planters become disappointed when things do not turn out the way they planned. I know, I have been there and done that.

But you should not be disappointed if you are not growing as you expected. We might hear a lot about all the missionary exploits of those who came before us. Yet, there are many who might have not racked up big numbers who were influential in the life of other people as well.

So do not lose hope and leave the mission planting fields. Stick with it and plant missions one person at a time.

The podcast above has some encouraging words for you to keep you going. Listen to it and I hope that it will help you get back in the battle of winning souls for Jesus Christ our Lord. Click on the image above of listen to this encouraging message here.

Joel 2:23-32

O children of Zion, be glad
and rejoice in the Lord your God;
for he has given the early rain for your vindication,
he has poured down for you abundant rain,
the early and the later rain, as before.
The threshing floors shall be full of grain,
the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.
I will repay you for the years
that the swarming locust has eaten,
the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter,
my great army, which I sent against you.
You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied,
and praise the name of the Lord your God,
who has dealt wondrously with you.
And my people shall never again be put to shame.

You shall know that I am in the midst of Israel,
and that I, the Lord, am your God and there is no other.
And my people shall never again
be put to shame.
Then afterward
I will pour out my spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your old men shall dream dreams,
and your young men shall see visions.
Even on the male and female slaves,
in those days, I will pour out my spirit.
I will show portents in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and columns of smoke. The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes. Then everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved; for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be those who escape, as the Lord has said, and among the survivors shall be those whom the Lord calls.

News flash: America has never put God first!

Some say that America used to be great at one time because we used to follow God before. However, to make that claim is to say that in this particular part of the world, folks are so holy that we have the ability to serve God without blemish. Yet, we all know that all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory. We also know that not one is good.

Hence it follows, that if America is great it is because of the mercy of God. Then, if it is by the mercy of God, did we do anything to deserve God’s blessing?

So this whole concept that we somehow were once great because we followed and served God, and that now we are not because we are no longer following God, is contrary to scripture in a very profound and disturbing way.

Job 9:1-12, 14-16

Job 9:1-12, 14-16

1 Job spoke next. He said:

2 Indeed, I know it is as you say: how could anyone claim to be upright before God?

3 Anyone trying to argue matters with him, could not give him one answer in a thousand.

4 Among the wisest and the hardiest, who then can successfully defy him?

5 He moves the mountains, though they do not know it; he throws them down when he is angry.

6 He shakes the earth, and moves it from its place, making all its pillars tremble.

7 The sun, at his command, forbears to rise, and on the stars he sets a seal.

8 He and no other has stretched out the heavens and trampled on the back of the Sea.

9 He has made the Bear and Orion, the Pleiades and the Mansions of the South.

10 The works he does are great and unfathomable, and his marvels cannot be counted.

11 If he passes me, I do not see him; he slips by, imperceptible to me.

12 If he snatches his prey, who is going to stop him or dare to ask, ‘What are you doing?’

14 And here am I, proposing to defend myself and select my arguments against him!

15 Even if I am upright, what point is there in answering him? I can only plead for mercy with my judge!

16 And if he deigned to answer my citation, I cannot believe he would listen to what I said,

Psalms 23:1-3, 3-4, 5, 6

Psalms 23:1-3, 3-4, 5, 6

1 [Psalm Of David] Yahweh is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

2 In grassy meadows he lets me lie. By tranquil streams he leads me

3 to restore my spirit. He guides me in paths of saving justice as befits his name.

4 Even were I to walk in a ravine as dark as death I should fear no danger, for you are at my side. Your staff and your crook are there to soothe me.

5 You prepare a table for me under the eyes of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup brims over.

6 Kindness and faithful love pursue me every day of my life. I make my home in the house of Yahweh for all time to come.

Luke 12:35-38

Luke 12:35-38

35 ‘See that you have your belts done up and your lamps lit.

36 Be like people waiting for their master to return from the wedding feast, ready to open the door as soon as he comes and knocks.

37 Blessed those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes. In truth I tell you, he will do up his belt, sit them down at table and wait on them.

38 It may be in the second watch that he comes, or in the third, but blessed are those servants if he finds them ready.

Psalms 85:9-10, 11-12, 13-14

9 His saving help is near for those who fear him, his glory will dwell in our land.

10 Faithful Love and Loyalty join together, Saving Justice and Peace embrace.

11 Loyalty will spring up from the earth, and Justice will lean down from heaven.

12 Yahweh will himself give prosperity, and our soil will yield its harvest.

13 Justice will walk before him, treading out a path.

Ephesians 2:12-22

Ephesians 2:12-22

12 do not forget, I say, that you were at that time separate from Christ and excluded from membership of Israel, aliens with no part in the covenants of the Promise, limited to this world, without hope and without God.

13 But now in Christ Jesus, you that used to be so far off have been brought close, by the blood of Christ.

14 For he is the peace between us, and has made the two into one entity and broken down the barrier which used to keep them apart, by destroying in his own person the hostility,

15 that is, the Law of commandments with its decrees. His purpose in this was, by restoring peace, to create a single New Man out of the two of them,

16 and through the cross, to reconcile them both to God in one Body; in his own person he killed the hostility.

17 He came to bring the good news of peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near.

18 Through him, then, we both in the one Spirit have free access to the Father.

19 So you are no longer aliens or foreign visitors; you are fellow-citizens with the holy people of God and part of God’s household.

20 You are built upon the foundations of the apostles and prophets, and Christ Jesus himself is the cornerstone.

21 Every structure knit together in him grows into a holy temple in the Lord;

22 and you too, in him, are being built up into a dwelling-place of God in the Spirit.

Ezekiel 18:25-28

Ezekiel 18:25-28

25 ‘Now, you say, “What the Lord does is unjust.” Now listen, House of Israel: is what I do unjust? Is it not what you do that is unjust?

26 When the upright abandons uprightness and does wrong and dies, he dies because of the wrong which he himself has done.

27 Similarly, when the wicked abandons wickedness to become law-abiding and upright, he saves his own life.

28 Having chosen to renounce all his previous crimes, he will most certainly live: he will not die.

Matthew 18:15-20

Matthew 18:15-20

15 ‘If your brother does something wrong, go and have it out with him alone, between your two selves. If he listens to you, you have won back your brother.

16 If he does not listen, take one or two others along with you: whatever the misdemeanour, the evidence of two or three witnesses is required to sustain the charge.

17 But if he refuses to listen to these, report it to the community; and if he refuses to listen to the community, treat him like a gentile or a tax collector.

18 ‘In truth I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven; whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

19 ‘In truth I tell you once again, if two of you on earth agree to ask anything at all, it will be granted to you by my Father in heaven.

20 For where two or three meet in my name, I am there among them.’
